Rep Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) announced his support of using the 25th amendment on Thursday morning, after the events allegedly perpetrated by supporters of the President at the Capitol building on Wednesday.
Kinzinger said the protest was a “wake up call” and said that Trump “incited” the chaos.
“The president triggered this. He is unfit for office. He is unwell. And President Trump must now give up his power over the White House one way or another.” Kinzinger said in a video statement.
Kinzinger says many Republicans have been tone deaf today even after the siege on the Capitol.
“I’ve seen people applaud cheap political attacks that are embarrassing,” he says.
