With Joe Biden being supposedly declared 2020’s winner by the Electoral College and President Donald Trump appearing to be moving out of the White House soon, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said Tuesday that Trump’s “substantial influence” will stay in the GOP.
Romney said to CNN that ahead of the 2024 race, he didn’t believe “Trumpism is going away” because the politicians rumored to be in the race then are doing the same thing Trump did, with a “populist approach”. He declared that President Trump would continue to be a huge influencer on the GOP. But then stated that we should continue having disagreements but not continue promoting a narrative that damages democracy itself. Going into detail, he said “telling people that voting doesnt work is a very dangerous thing”.
