Hunter Biden Criminal Charges Could Be Days Away

Hunter Biden is reportedly being considered for charges ranging from several parts of his business activities to his false statements on a background check in order to obtain a gun.

The Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office was reported to be considering charging Hunter Biden with “a variety of tax” and “possible foreign lobbying” charges, according to Fox News.

According to the CNN, authorities appear to be focusing their attention on possible tax and “gun-related” offenses.

Hunter Biden’s “purchase of a weapon when he would have been prohibited from doing so due to his acknowledged drug addiction” is the allegation.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the criminal inquiry into Hunter Biden has reached a “crucial phase” after a federal grand jury investigating the president Biden’s son finished its most recent term last month. The source said that while the criminal investigation was still active, it had been going on for four years.

According to CNN, the Department of Justice was considering if it could file charges right away due to a department policy against bringing politically sensitive matters with only two months left before an election. However, the “unwritten rule” may not even be an issue since Joe Biden isn’t on the ballot.

Some government officials are concerned, however, that Hunter Biden’s history of using crack cocaine might prejudice any charges they bring against him since the defense could argue that he was not aware of his potential crimes due to his addiction.
