Abbott Ends Democrats’ Pathetic Protesting With This New Bill

In the aftermath of the 2020 Election, numerous states have fought to restore integrity to their elections. About 17 states have passed bills that eliminate practices that turned the last presidential election into a national disgrace.

Democrats, unsurprisingly, have tried everything they could to stop these bills from being passed. You probably remember how they “boycotted” Georgia over voting laws less strict than in Colorado or New Hampshire.

In Texas, Democrats actually fled the state to block their bill from being voted on. It was a pathetic stunt, one which they thought would make them look like heroes. It failed and the governor vowed to make this bill into law.

And this week, he did.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a voter integrity bill into law Tuesday — the same law that Texas Democrats fled the state to avoid voting on.

In a signing ceremony held Tuesday, Abbott said the bill makes “it easier than ever before for anybody to go cast a ballot. It does also, however, make sure it is harder than ever for people to cheat at the ballot box.”…

The bill takes several measures to ensure integrity in casting ballots, instituting a ban on drive-through and round-the-clock voting, and adding an ID requirement for mail-in and absentee ballots…

Democratic legislators in Texas tried to forestall passage of the bill by leaving the state, traveling on chartered private planes to Washington, D.C…

The protests “did not wind up significantly changing the bill,” the Daily Mail noted Tuesday, and the Texas legislature was able to eventually return to session, pass the bill, and send it to Abbott’s desk. [Source: Daily Wire]

Democrat lawmakers ran all the way to D.C. in a pathetic stunt to block this bill. They claimed they were “champions for justice,” enjoying their private flights and media attention. But it was pretty clear that Texans were not impressed, especially when these Democrats were demanding care packages from them.

What were the Democrats fighting so hard about? They wanted to block a bill that simply requires ID for mail-in ballots. On top of that, this bill bans dubious polling schemes, like 24-hour voting and drive-thru voting. Everything this bill does ensures elections aren’t compromised.

Why would any lawmaker be upset about that? Shouldn’t elected officials want to secure elections, so that voters wouldn’t lose faith in democracy?

Without protections like this new law in place, anyone can steal an election. They can harvest ballots and forge them. They can stuff ballot boxes with fraudulent votes. Americans wouldn’t even bother to vote, knowing it’s all rigged.

Do Democrats want rigged elections and nobody voting? Well, that would make it easier for them to win, huh?
