In a rare interview with the mainstream media, Donald Trump spoke with George Stephanopoulos about the Mueller probe. The interviewer kept pressing the president over the now-closed Mueller probe. When Stephanopoulos refused to accept Trump’s answer, the president put him in his place.
Let’s face it: the mainstream media will never give Trump a fair shake. They are entrenched liberals, effectively working for the Democratic Party. They can’t believe we have a conservative, America-first president in the White House. And the fact that Donald Trump is one of the most-successful presidents of all time?
Well, they really can’t stand that.
With each passing day, it becomes more and more likely that Trump will win re-election. More than that, President Trump will have a tremendous impact on our country, one that will be felt for years to come. There is little the left can do to sway Americans into hating Trump.
Oh believe me, they’ve tried. The left-wing media has mustered up all kinds of controversies, rumors, and attacks. All of them failed. Their last one was the Mueller probe. Democrats were really hoping that the Special Council would prove that Trump colluded with Russia. It would lead to his impeachment.
Any honest American knew it was a witch hunt from the start, based on lies. But even after Mueller’s final report came out—clearing Trump of all wrongdoing—the left still can’t get over it.
They still hope to find some shred of evidence to condemn the president. During an interview with George Stephanopoulos, the host continued to press the president over the Mueller probe. He even tried to get Trump to admit he wanted to fire Mueller during the investigation.
Trump put lil’ George in his place.
President Donald Trump grew combative in an interview with ABC News host George Stephanopoulos released on Friday, after he tried to rehash some of the details of the Mueller report.
During the interview, Trump said he was never going to fire Robert Mueller, despite pressing the point that the investigator was “conflicted.”
Stephanopoulos followed by asking Trump why he never personally testified on these issues to Mueller, even though he was happy to discuss it on camera.
“George, you’re being a little wise guy, OK? Which is, you know, typical for you,” Trump replied. “Just so you understand. Very simple. It’s very simple. There was no crime. There was no collusion. The big thing’s collusion. Now, there’s no collusion. That means it was a setup, in my opinion, and I think it’s going to come out.” [Source: Breitbart]
Wow! Step lively, George. When Trump brands you with a nickname, it most-likely sticks. I doubt the former Clinton aid and current ABC anchor would like Americans calling him a “little wise guy.”
But the man is playing the role of fake news peddler, even as he sits with the president. The Mueller probe is over and done. The Special Council did his job and found no evidence of collusion or obstruction. Yet Stephanopoulos, like the rest of the Democrats, is trying to dig up anything he can use to slander Trump.
That’s why he kept fishing for information about Trump wanting to fire Mueller. Had Trump fired Mueller, it would have looked like Trump was trying to cover up actual wrongdoing. But Trump let the case go on, knowing it would clear his name.
George has nothing. Trump never fired Mueller or even discussed doing it. But Stephanopoulos really wanted something he could use to make Trump look bad. Instead of talking about all of Trump’s successes in the last two and a half years, he was rehashing a nothingburger.
So, Trump nailed him. Stephanopoulos is a little wise guy. He is just marching along with the rest of the left, wasting this rare opportunity to interview the president. Guess what, George, Trump just gave you a perfect nickname. Don’t be surprised if it sticks from now on.
For years, the media has tried to trip up Trump. They think their tactics of smearing him will hurt his administration and prevent his work to make America great again. But they keep failing, because you can’t stump Trump.
When will they learn it’s better just to join his team? Never, probably.
