After Biden Official Slow to Respond to Disaster–Congress Drops Bomb on Him

The train derailment in East Palestine, OH is a bigger threat than most people realize. Government officials choose to burn off the toxic chemicals spilling from the wrecked trains. That released harmful chemicals into the air and water. This ecological disaster will hurt more than just the wildlife of that town–and its residents. The toxins will spread further, jeopardizing perhaps millions of Americans.

What makes this disaster even more shocking has been the Biden administration’s slow response. Joe has done nothing, choosing to ignore the crisis to fly to Ukraine. The EPA appears to be covering up the disaster, telling residents it’s “safe” to return home. But worst of all has been the Department of Transportation head Pete Buttigieg. He has neglected this calamity for weeks, doing nothing about it.

Only now is he talking about actually visiting the site.

It’s been over 18 days since the train derailment that sent toxic chemicals into the environment of East Palestine and Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has finally announced that he will be making a trip to the area…

“I am planning to go,” Buttigieg began, “look I was mayor of my hometown for 8 years, we dealt with a lot of disasters, natural and human,” he continued. However, he gave no concrete date as to when he would be making the trip. [Source: The Post Millennial]

He says he’s going to go, but has not mentioned an actual date. As the man in charge of the government’s oversight of transportation, this should be his top priority. What the hell is he doing? On another vacation, Pete? We know you love those.

A massive train derailment has harmed an entire town. Why didn’t Pete go down there the first day to oversee what was happening? This is a pattern of incompetence. Buttigieg has been MIA during numerous crises he should have been fixing. And now, Congress might be coming after him.

More GOP lawmakers are calling for Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to resign, with a House Republican from Ohio suggesting the GOP-led chamber should proceed with impeachment if he doesn’t step down…

“Amidst an impending possible rail strike last year, Secretary Buttigieg left the country to vacation in Portuguese wine country,” Rubio wrote. “Near misses in commercial aviation, as well as recent system failures, including the one that shutdown air travel in Florida in January, indicate that serious and persistent problems across the DOT are not being sufficiently remedied. I do not have confidence that Secretary Buttigieg is capable of keeping the American people safe.” [Source: Just the News]

Buttigieg isn’t just making a few mistakes. He has deliberately neglected his job on many occasions. And he’s only been at the job for less than two years! That’s how bad he’s been doing. If this was any other administration, he would have been fired.

But Joe Biden is too senile and corrupt to care. He is not managing his White House at all, allowing this kind of insanity to continue. It might have to take Congress to force Buttigieg out of office for good.

If not, what new disasters are waiting to hurt us?
