You’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone outside of Washington D.C. that supports our funding of the Ukraine war. The conflict has been raging for over a year, with no end in sight. Yet Joe Biden keeps spending billions of our dollars to help the war continue. Because we’re bankrolling Ukraine, the nation has zero incentive to negotiate peace, even though the war could end up hurting all of Europe.
The only person who seems willing to speak out against Biden’s Ukraine spending has been Donald Trump. He has been the only Republican candidate openly opposed to the war. And he has recently called out Biden’s last “gift” to Ukraine, cluster bombs that will further extend this conflict. Trump is now accusing Biden of doing the very worst.
“Joe Biden should not be dragging us further toward World War III by sending cluster munitions to Ukraine,” Trump said in a statement, “he should be trying to END the war and stop the horrific death and destruction being caused by an incompetent administration.
“These unexploded cluster munitions will be killing and maiming innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children for decades to come, long after the war—we pray—has ended,” Trump said. In February 2022, the Biden administration said unequivocally that Russia’s use of cluster bombs was a “war crime.” [Source: The Post Millennial]
Despite calling Russia’s use of cluster bombs a “war crime” in 2022, Biden just vowed to send Ukraine the very same weapons. These bombs scatter smaller munitions, which might not explode right away. Like land minds, these cluster munitions could stay dormant for years, posing a threat to future Ukrainians.
Yet Biden has no problem spending your money to ensure Ukraine stays in a state of conflict for years.
While hammering away at Biden, Trump warns that the failed “president” is dragging us closer to “World War III.” He rebuked Joe for not trying to end the war, perhaps by forcing both sides to broker peace. In fact, other nations like France and China have done more to facilitate negotiations than Biden.
We can’t forget that Biden and his family have a long, suspicious relationship with Ukraine. Is he really trying to fight Russia, or use the war as a front to funnel money to this corrupt nation?
Either way, Biden could be responsible for escalating the war to new, horrible heights.
