After Gavin Newsom Mocks Florida – He Gets Wrecked by New Report

In recent years, the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, has been heavily critical of other states. He has called out several Republican-run states, claiming they are restricting residents’ freedom.

He has even posted billboards in other states, urging Americans to go to California. It appears Newsom believes his state is far superior to those run by conservatives.

Now, a new report is revealing that–in one critical metric–California is dead last. And it has been beaten by one state Newsom has trashed many times.

Florida has ranked as the number one destination in the U.S. for state-to-state migration each of the last two years while California has come in dead last both years.

Over the last two years, a net of 454,227 people moved from other states to Florida, led by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, while a net of -749,529 Californians fled the west coast Democrat stronghold, led by California Governor Gavin Newsom. [Source: Daily Wire]

Gov. Newsom might not have an answer for this statistic. In the last two years, Florida has been the number one destination for Americans moving from another state. Florida has gained 454,227 residents from other parts of the country.

Meanwhile, California has been dead last. The “Golden State” has actually lost 749,529 residents, who have moved out to relocate to other states.

This comes as California Gov. Newsom frequently criticizes the state of Florida. He has repeatedly accused Florida Gov. DeSantis of “robbing” residents of their freedoms. This, despite the fact that Florida was open during COVID and California was in lockdown for nearly two years.

On top of that, California has seen a rising epidemic of crime. It has also refused to battle the massive flood of border crossers, unlike states like Texas and Florida. Meanwhile, Florida has seen a drop in crime.

Gov. DeSantis is offering a $5,000 bonus to any police officer who relocates to Florida and gets a job at a local PD.

Both governors have been slated to debate each other at the end of November. It’s unclear how Gov. Newsom will be able to fend off statistics like this. Newsom wanted to debate DeSantis, apparently convinced he is a better leader.

But when you lose nearly one million residents, it’s hard to defend that claim.
