After House Approves Terrible Spending Bill – Gingrich Drops Bomb on GOP

You might remember that, last year, a handful of Republican congressmen threw the House into chaos. Led by one man, Rep. Matt Gaetz, a few Republicans voted with Democrats to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Gaetz and his “hard-liners” said they were doing it for the good of the country. In reality, they were doing it for themselves. The House was frozen for weeks, even as our ally Israel was attacked by terrorists.

After the chaos settled, Republicans selected Mike Johnson to be the next Speaker. They promised that, under his leadership, the House would no longer bow to Joe Biden. But since then, the House has rubberstamped some of the worst spending bills since Biden entered office. Now, Newt Gingrich is blasting Gaetz’s self-serving, idiotic move. And he’s giving the party the bad news.

As MTG made her move toward attempting to oust current House Speaker Mike Johnson, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich pointed fingers at Matt Gaetz, saying that Gaetz’s push to oust Kevin McCarthy as Speaker “unleashed the demons“ within the Republican Party…

“We shouldn’t underestimate how bad what Matt Gaetz did was for the whole system. He unleashed the demons,” Gingrich claimed when speaking with Ingraham…

“Sooner or later you’re going to realize the bills have been worse since McCarthy was gone. The Democrats are in greater control. The hard-liners on the right have done nothing except make it worse,” Gingrich explained. [Source: The Post Millennial]

Newt Gingrich, who was House Speaker in the 90s, blasted Matt Gaetz and his allies for “unleashing the demons” by removing Kevin McCarthy. Gingrich explained that McCarthy was a successful leader.

He had raised $480 million for the party. He gained seats in three elections in a row. And he was actually pushing back on Joe Biden’s radical demands. Since getting rid of him, House Republicans have been losing seats—and the bills have gotten “worse.”

It seems Speaker Johnson is too inexperienced or he is unable to properly hold Democrats at bay. Gingrich even proclaimed that Democrats are in “greater control.” The House just passed a terrible spending bill that will add over one trillion dollars to our national debt. The “gain” made for Republicans was minimal.

It’s pretty shocking how Gaetz sabotaged his own party, to get nothing in return. Yet today, he is unrepentant. The Republican Party in the House is falling apart, as many are leaving before the election. The dysfunction and chaos will only help Democrats re-win the majority next year. Even if Trump wins the White House, he will not have a strong Congress to support him.

And that’s entirely Gaetz’s fault.
