One of the biggest bombshells to hit Washington last week was the revelation that Democrat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is ditching the Democratic Party and becoming an Independent. This throws the Democrats’ majority for a loop and erodes their attempts at controlling the upper chamber. Sinema made it clear that she is leaving the party because of its corruption and radicalization, making it clear she is unlikely to vote blindly for any of their bills.
Apparently, this has thrown mud in the eyes of the Senate’s perennial “independent” Bernie Sanders. Old Uncle Bernie calls himself an independent, but he votes with Democrats on nearly every bill that crosses his desk. He is such a Democrat fanboy, that he drops out of presidential elections the moment the party dumps him for Hillary or Joe Biden. It’s clear Bernie has suddenly been outed for his phony independent status over Sinema’s news.
And he’s pouting like a spoiled brat.
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that his colleague Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) did not have the guts to take on special interest because she is a corporate Democrat…
“… Would you support a Democratic opponent against Senator Sinema?”
Sanders said, “I support progressive candidates all over this country, people who have the guts to take on powerful special interests.”
He added, “I don’t know what’s going to be happening in Arizona. We will see who they nominate. But certainly, it is something I’ll take a hard look at.”
Bash asked, “Does she have the guts to take on powerful special interests?”
Sanders said, “No, she doesn’t. She’s a corporate Democrat who has, along with Senator Manchin, sabotaged enormously important legislation.” [Source: Breitbart]
Lol, this is rich. With Sen. Sinema now an independent, Democrats in Arizona could find a candidate to run against her in 2024 (when she’s up for re-election). Bernie seems up for this because, he claims, that Sinema is a “corporate Democrat.”
So, this old man is calling a woman who just dumped the Democratic Party a corporate Democrat? If she is a corporate Democrat, what is he?
Sanders claims to be a socialist, but whenever he gets a chance he supports the Democratic Party’s agenda. He never uses his vote in the Senate to stop Democrats from passing bills that support big business, hurt working Americans, and derail our economy.
In fact, he criticized Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act” over the Summer, admitting it would do nothing to lower inflation. Sanders also said the parts in the bill that were supposed to make healthcare more affordable didn’t. He attacked the bill, saying it wouldn’t help people on or not on Medicaid.
Yet the hypocrite still voted for it.
Who the hell does he think he is? Sanders claims to be a champion for working Americans, but he does more to enrich the ruling elite than few others. He can bash Sinema all he wants, but at least she took a stand and refused to vote to kill the filibuster, protecting the minority party in the Senate.
Sanders? He’s just a forgettable loser.
