Democrats must live in a fantasy world. Because everything they say and do seems to conflict with reality. They claim that massive government spending will “fix” inflation—even though the opposite has happened. Biden shuts down American energy and blames Russia’s president Putin.
And the most hilarious contradiction is the constant claim that Democrats are the civilized, decent party—even as they call conservatives racists and bigots. For years, Democrats have spread slander, lies, and even endorsed violence against Republicans. But now they claim they will no longer play nice. And they are urging Biden to wage a “scorched earth” campaign.
“This is a time to say ‘We’ve had enough. [Republicans] are taking away every freedom we’ve had and we’re full of rage,’ ” said one Democratic strategist. “This isn’t the time to say we’re the honorable party, because that clearly isn’t working.” […]
“Democrats should be savaging Republicans for destroying people’s lives,” said Bill Neidhardt, a progressive operative who worked on messaging strategy for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)…
“Biden likes Republicans more than he likes his own voters,” said Cenk Uygur, an alternative media fixture who hosts the leftist “Young Turks.” Uygur is among a chorus of outspoken voices who have been calling for Biden to use a scorched-earth approach to take on Republicans. [Source: The Hill]
The progressive wing of the party, as usual, is pushing an agenda that is sure to fail. Over the last five or six years, progressives have pushed an increasingly socialist platform through the Democratic Party. Obviously, that has not only failed in practice, but it has failed to capture the support of voters.
But, in their tiny minds, they are not being aggressive enough. And they want Biden and the party to go “scorched earth” in attacking Republicans just before a critical midterm season.
Just look at some of the extreme and out-of-touch things they have said. These far-left Democrats claim that Republicans are “taking away every freedom we’ve had.” Excuse me!?
Democrats, in recent years, have tried to strip away our First Amendment rights. They shut down churches (in some cases raiding them with SWAT teams). They tried to censor us, by claiming Americans are spreading “disinformation.” They have tried, again and again, to erase the Second Amendment.
And let’s not forget they were the party who tried to take away 100 million American jobs, over a vaccine.
But Republicans are trying to take away their rights because the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade?
This is why we say Democrats are out of touch with reality. On nearly every level. Because their dishonest media just parrots whatever they say, they think their bogus, partisan talking points are fact. They never face criticism from within, and they do not listen to what their rivals say.
Biden, for his part, claimed he would be a “moderate” who would work with both parties. Not once has he tried to be a unifier. Instead, his idea of unity was forcing Republicans to back a radical, socialist agenda against their wishes.
But please progressive, go scorched earth. Spread as much slander and idiocy as you can. Because we will be there to slam back. Hard.
