The American Sovereignty Restoration Act (H.R. 7806) is a bill that would have the United States withdraw from the UN and other international organizations.
“The President shall terminate United States membership in the UN, and any organ, specialized agency, commission, or other formally connected body of the United Nations,” according to the bill’s text. “This Act and the amendments made by this Act shall take effect two years after the date of enactment of this Act unless otherwise provided.”
“On the date of the passage of this Act, the United States will terminate participation in any UN conventions or agreements as well as any organs, specialized agencies, commissions, or other formally affiliated bodies. Any remaining tasks under such conventions and agreements shall not be performed,” it added.
“The United Nations has shown itself to be a completely useless organization on numerous occasions,” Rogers stated in a press release.
“The UN’s founding charter says the organization’s aim is to ‘reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, the worth and dignity of the human person, and equal rights for men and women. However, as Uyghur refugees continue to flee China for other nations, Michelle Bachelet has proven herself to be nothing more than a Chinese Communist puppet – assisting the CCP in downplaying one of history’s most egregious genocides against Uyghurs. It’s beyond belief that China continues to sit on the UN Human Rights Council while conducting this abhorrent genocide, in addition to its numerous and continual human rights abuses. It’s apparent that the UN has abandoned its founding principles, which is why, among other things, I’ve reintroduced a bill to withdraw the United States from the UN,” the Republican said.
“This bill also would withdraw the United States from the discredited World Health Organization. When they decided to put public health second to the Chinese Communist Party by assisting in covering up COVID-19’s origins, the WHO lost all legitimacy,” Rogers summed up.
