You can be the best president in history on nearly every issue. But if you fail on the economy, the public will eat you for lunch. We’re not saying there are other crucially important issues. Only that the economy can sink a presidency faster than a soiled dress.
Joe Biden has failed on nearly every issue since becoming “president.” But his biggest failures have been on the economy. That’s because his administration is deliberately tanking our economy in order to install socialist programs. He crippled energy during a gas crisis. Fumbled the supply chains. And pushed spending as inflation soared.
We shouldn’t be shocked, then, to learn that Americans’ view on the economy is worse than ever.
Sixty-nine percent of Americans think the economy is bad right now, a poll released over the weekend by CBS News and YouGov shows.
The share saying the economy is bad had been holding steady for the first four months of the year and final two months of last year. Between September and November, the share saying the economy is bad jumped from 51 percent to 64 percent and held at around that level through April even as the unemployment rate fell from 4.2 percent to 3.6 percent…
Americans are extremely pessimistic on economic matters right now. Seventy-seven percent say they are pessimistic about the prices of goods and services, up from 70 percent in September. Sixty-eight percent say they are pessimistic about the national economy, up from 58 percent in September. Sixty-seven percent say they are pessimistic about the stock market, up from 49 percent in September. Fifty-seven percent say they are pessimistic about their retirement plans, up from 43 percent in the September poll. [Source: Breitbart]
You can be a hit on nearly every issue, but hurt Americans’ ability to make money, they’ll call for your head. We are a market economy that thrives on the opportunity for everyone to succeed. So, when a president is responsible for inflation, high fuel prices, a broken supply chain, and more? He is a failure no matter how you spin it.
And the numbers are bad at any angle. A shocking 69% of Americans think the economy is in the toilet. Who is to blame for that? Not Trump, he’s not in office. Not Republicans, they don’t have control of Congress.
It was Joe Biden and his Democrats who passed a terrible law that flooded the economy with inflation-producing “stimulus” checks. It was Biden who paid people not to work. It was Biden who refused to deal with the supply chain. It was Biden who threatened people with losing their jobs over a vaccine.
And it was Biden who keeps denying companies access to federal land for drilling, as gas prices reach $6/gallon nationally.
Are Democrats really this stupid? Do they really think we won’t blame them for all this devastation? Nothing looks good on the horizon. The irony is, Biden could pivot and bring some success. But he refuses.
Which is why his party is going to suffer so much.
