Ancient Democrat Gets Surprise from Staff–They Made Career-Ending Decision For Her

The 2024 Election is just around the corner. Now is the time for politicians to make their plans. It takes time to raise support and muster the troops. So, it comes as no surprise that in the coming weeks and months, top D.C. leaders will reveal their plans for the big day.

That includes every senator that is up for re-election. One in particular, Democrat Dianne Feinstein will face re-election. If she wins, the 89-year-old will return to office in her early 90s. Despite that, she says she has not made a decision yet about her plans.

Uh… except, her staff just released a statement, saying she was retiring!

California Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein says she did not know that her staff had announced her retirement and that she had not made the decision to not run in 2024…

Feinstein, 89, was recorded at a press gaggle saying: “Well, I haven’t made that decision. I haven’t released anything.”

A staffer responded to her: “Senator, we put out the statement.”

“You put out the statement?” Feinstein replied. “I didn’t know they had put it out. So, it is what it is. I think the time has come.” [Source: Just the News]

This is pretty rich. Feinstein’s staff released a statement revealing she was retiring after this term. She will not run for re-election, seeing as how she’d be in her 90s! However, during a recent press gaggle, she said she had not made that decision.

Um… awkward! Her staff would not have released that statement without her approval, right? Many have worried about her cognitive abilities and memory (among many other Democrats). Was it that she forgot she told them to release the statement?

Or was it that her staff just went ahead and did it for her? One reporter claims Feinstein, after finding out in front of the press said, “I should have known they put it out.” That seems to suggest she had already made up her mind but didn’t know her staff released the statement.

That’s bad either way. Because it means she lied when she said she hadn’t made a decision. Or, her staff just made the decision for her? And now that it’s out in the public, it’s too humiliating to take it back.

As embarrassing as this is, it is a reminder that the Democratic establishment in D.C. has been around much too long. Their top leaders are in their 80s or 90s and should have long ago retired. But they held onto their power with a death grip, refusing to let new leaders take their place.

And because the liberal establishment in D.C. is so old and decrepit, they are unable to stop the tide of socialism sweeping over their party. When Feinstein steps down, some left-wing transgender communist is sure to take her place.
