Anti-Israel Democrat Hit With Major Rebuke – Own Party Members Turn on Her!

About a month ago, Republicans failed to get the House to confront Rep. Rashida Tlaib. She had been accused by conservatives of dismissing the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th.

But that wasn’t the last of Tlaib’s controversial statements, in light of the Israel-Hamas war. She continued to criticize the one Jewish state in the world–even confront President Biden’s support for it.

What really seemed to upset people, however, was Tlaib’s use of a Palestinian chant calling for Israel’s eradication. After fact-checkers blasted her claims, even Democrats joined to confront her.

On Tuesday night, the US House of Representatives voted to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) by a vote of 234 – 188…

Twenty-two Democrats joined 212 Republicans to censure the radical congresswoman. Only four Republicans voted against the measure and four lawmakers voted present.

In the resolution, the Palestinian-American congresswoman was accused of “…promoting false narratives regarding the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and for calling for the destruction of the state of Israel.” [Source: The Post Millennial]

Democrats joined Republicans to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib over her ongoing comments against the nation of Israel. She had been seen on video ranting against the administration’s support for Israel.

She used the infamous chant, “From the River to the Sea.” This chant is used by pro-Palestinian groups to demand Israel be removed from the map. Tlaib tried to spin her use of the phrase, claiming it was an “aspirational call for freedom.”

But fact-checkers called her out on those claims. The chant has only been used by anti-Israel forces demanding the country’s eradication. Tlaib had little defense for her actions, as a growing number of Democrats called her out.

Most of the Democrats came from Michigan, the state she also represents. It is possible they are eager to distance themselves from Tlaib’s comments, knowing that the election is only next year. Twenty-two Democrats in the House helped Republicans pass this resolution.

The censure is a mostly symbolic gesture, but it serves as a public rebuke by Congress. Rep. Tlaib has been formerly called out and confronted over her words. The question remains, however, if she will continue her anti-Israel agenda, or fall in line with her party’s president.
