The liberal media made a big deal about Joe Biden’s trip to the border. Biden viewed carefully cleaned-up sections of El Paso, where conveniently no illegals were found. He then resumed ignoring the border crisis and pushed to make it easier for certain countries to dump their people onto us.
But despite that meaningless trip, thousands of illegal immigrations continue to flood the border every day. Nobody has room for this endless wave of invaders. And that includes Texas, which Biden and his administration refuse to help. So, Gov. Abbott just defied the White House by appointing the state’s first-ever… border czar.
Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday announced the state’s first-ever border czar to address the influx of migrants coming through the U.S.-Mexico border.
Abbott tapped veteran Border Patrol agent Mike Banks to serve as “special adviser on border matters to the governor,” in response to the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis.
“For nearly two years, the state of Texas has taken unprecedented, historic action under Operation Lone Star in response to the Biden administration’s refusal to secure the border,” Abbott said at a news conference on a border wall construction site in San Benito, Texas. “To continue doing what no other state in the history of our country has done to secure the border, I hired Mike Banks as the state of Texas’ first-ever border czar.” [Source: Fox News]
Wow. Talk about slapping back at Joe! Biden chose Kamala Harris to be his “border czar” back in the Spring of 2021. The vice president was supposed to address this issue. She was the point woman, so to speak, for making sure the crisis-level number of illegals stopped.
Yet, she has failed so miserably, that Gov. Abbott was forced to pick his own border czar. Kamala’s done nothing to address the historic levels of outsiders invading our country. She did promise to give Central American countries millions of dollars–which solved nothing.
Abbott tapped former Border Patrol agent Mike Banks to fill this new role. This man has first-hand knowledge of the crisis going on at the border. And he will certainly provide a needed perspective on handling this issue.
Creating this new office will cost Texas money. Why does Abbott have to be the one to create a czar that will actually do something? It is the federal government’s job to ensure the border is secure. Yet Biden is doing such a piss-poor job of defending our nation, Texas has to spend the money to make sure illegals stop flooding America.
That is a strong indictment against this administration. Biden is such a failed leader, that states have to pick up the slack. But how long until Texas is stretch too thin to stop this tidal wave of illegals?
