Several Democrat-run cities have been complaining about the migrants flooding their cities. They didn’t seem to mind when millions of illegals overwhelmed Texas and other border communities. But the moment a few thousand aliens showed up on their doorsteps—WOAH! Now, it’s a crisis!
The hypocrisy runs deep, given the fact these cities are “sanctuaries” for illegal immigrants. They passed laws to protect illegals from deportation. Now, not a single Democrat leader is willing to remove these migrants, even though they are destroying countless communities.
One blue-city mayor recently claimed this crisis would be the end of his city. He has slashed billions from the budget to accommodate these illegals. It’s clear, Democrats won’t do anything to enforce immigration law or protect their citizens. But they will use the National Guard to harass commuters on their way to work!
New York Governor Kathy Hochul intends to deploy 1,000 National Guard, state police and MTA officers to search bags of subway riders in the New York City transit system.
Her Wednesday announcement revealed that this plan is intended for “the city’s busiest transit stations.” She made the announcement on X, talking about the “brazen heinous attacks on our subway system,” and said they “would not be tolerated.”
This deployment is part of a 5-point plan to address subway safety. She intends to deploy nearly 1,000 law enforcement to “conduct bag checks,” she said, and introduced a “leadership team” to assist with these subway safety efforts. This will comprise 750 National Guard as well as 250 additional law enforcement. They will be set up to check bags for “deadly weapons” at “checkpoints.” [Source: The Post Millennial]
In what sounds like a violation of their constitutional rights, New York commuters will be subject to bag searches by National Guardsmen, thanks to the governor. Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens—many of them criminals—are flooding the city streets.
Yet Kathy is wasting time and tax dollars treating American citizens like criminals.
Call me crazy, but weren’t it Democrats who kept whining about “stop and frisk” in New York? Yet now, to apparently distract from the migrant crisis, they are bringing it back.
We can’t avoid smelling the irony. Texas is deploying guardsmen to protect Americans from a migrant invasion. Meanwhile, Democrats in New York are deploying guardsmen to rifle through old lady’s purses.
New York has no plans to deport the hundred thousand or so illegal aliens living there. They closed schools, parks, and public spaces to house migrants. Democrats are taking money from much-needed services so that criminal aliens can get free room and board (which they tend to destroy, according to reports).
How can an entire political party completely lose sight of American values? I guess it’s easy when you never had them to begin with!
