In the aftermath of the Uvalde, TX shooting, Democrats rushed to push radical gun control. And, with the help of RINOs like Texas’s John Cornyn, they passed some gun control legislation. But they want to do much more. Democrats are champing at the bit to ban AR-15s, create a national gun registry, and make it so that nobody can carry a concealed firearm.
On top of that, Democrats oppose policies that would do a better job at keeping schools safe. Most people think they are doing this because they know those policies would work. But to push their gun-grabbing agenda, they ignore these measures. In Mississippi, however, they are not sitting back and letting Democrats leave schools in the dust.

Mississippi Board of Education voted last week to update a 1990 internal policy that prohibited anyone other than law enforcement from carrying guns on public school campuses…
The update removed language from the old policy, which the department said conflicted with Mississippi’s 2011 enhanced conceal carry law. It also allowed schools to create their own policies regarding allowing guns on campus. [Source: Fox News]
After recent school shootings, some Americans have advocated for arming teachers and other faculty. Democrats strongly opposed that, but could not give a good argument as to why.
Mississippi updated a 1990 policy, to remove a ban that only allowed police to carry a firearm onto school grounds. This change means that schools can create their own policies, which would result in some allowing teachers to arm themselves.
It might sound terrible that teachers have to carry weapons. But keep in mind, that would-be killers target schools because they are gun-free. These sick, evil people know that there will be few people shooting back.
That is why you hear about so few shootings at police stations, gun ranges, or hunting lodges. Wannabe mass shooters are going to places where they think victims will be sitting ducks.
Democrats know this, too. Yet they deny the very policies that can prevent tragedy. Their one-size-fits-all approach is to deny law-abiding Americans from arming themselves.
We’ve gone over this again and again, but it’s worth repeating. Evil people, who are intent on doing harm, don’t follow gun laws. Democrats can pass as many gun-grabbing laws as possible, would-be killers won’t care. In fact, they are actually more likely to hurt victims, because nobody else will be armed.
It’s just that simple. But many Americans think Democrats want to take our guns because they want to erode our independence. Make us weak, fearful, and dependent on them.
Now, they wouldn’t want to do that… would they?
