Democrats failed to pass a series of destructive bills. The first one was Biden’s “Build Back Better” spending bill—which would have raised taxes, crippled businesses, and put millions on welfare. The other two bills would have destroyed our elections, changing rules so that stopping voter fraud impossible. All of these idiotic bills died in the Senate, thanks to moderates Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.
These two lawmakers did a big service to the Democratic Party. By blocking these bills, they were preventing the left from going off the edge into insanity. There is no way they would have recovered, as Americans would have destroyed them for these blatant attempts at grabbing power. But that’s not how most liberals see it. Some of them are playing the race card against these two Democrats. And now, Bernie Sanders, says he will primary against both of them.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Tuesday that he would be open to primarying Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), who do not support breaking the filibuster.
One congressional reporter asked Sanders if he would support a primary challenger to senators who do not support changing the filibuster.
Sanders responded, “Well, yeah.”
Manchin appeared unfazed by the Vermont progressive’s threat to support a primary challenge against him.
“I’ve been primaried my entire life. That would not be anything new for me,” Manchin said. “It’s rough and tumble. We’re used to that. Bring it on.” [Source: Breitbart]
For an “independent” member of the Senate, Sanders seems pretty invested in controlling Senate Democrats. He was extremely vocal against Manchin and Sinema as they questioned these series of bills. Sanders seems to think he carries more weight in the Senate than he actually does. He is quick to sound like some kind of dictator, who makes threats and wild boasts he cannot follow through on.
This threat to help primary challengers is yet another example. Sanders doesn’t like how colleagues are voting—so he vows to destroy their careers. Very democratic of you, Bernie! Way to respect the views and concerns of senators who are respecting the people they represent.
We shouldn’t be surprised at how Sanders is reacting. He does, after all, idolize the heyday of the Soviet Union. Why wouldn’t he act like one of the power-hungry communists who brought that nation to the brink of ruin?
Let’s not forget that Biden’s agenda has been heavily influenced by Bernie. These failed bills were goals he’s been pushing for, for years. Biden wants to totally reshape our economy to match his socialist agenda. And he’s one of many liberals who are salivating over the idea of federalizing our elections, confident it would ensure fraud and guaranteed Democrat wins.
Sanders just might be a bigger tyrant than Joe Biden, himself. He might even be the puppeteer pulling the strings.
