After ignoring the border crisis for nearly four years, President Biden traveled to Texas to seemingly address the issue. Border Patrol union heads blasted the move as “self-serving.”
Biden had previously refused to fix the ongoing crisis, during which 7.2 million migrants illegally entered the country. He blamed Republicans because they refused to pass a bill that gave more money to Ukraine than the border.
It did not seem as if Biden accomplished much during this border trip—aside from a few photo-ops. The most telling moment was when he opened his remarks about the situation—by talking about this instead.
During his speech, the Democrat president issued a warning about climate change, calling “deniers” of climate change “Neanderthals.”

Instead of addressing the border crisis—which poses to destroy American communities—Biden insulted Americans who “still think there’s no climate change.”
Americans will be hard-pressed to see how this has anything to do with millions of migrants entering the country.
Many people are waiting for Biden to address the horrific murder of Georgia college student Laken Riley. She was killed last weekend while jogging on campus, by a man who illegally entered the country in 2022.
A reporter asked Biden if he was willing to take responsibility for her death since his border policies allowed her killer to enter and stay in the country. This is how he responded.
During the press briefing, a reporter asked Biden: “Do you bear any responsibility for Laken Riley’s death?”
Biden did not answer the question and proceeded to walk off the stage. [Source: The Post Millennial]

Not only did Biden refuse to answer the question, but he immediately left the stage, ending his press conference. It is unclear what Biden was trying to do with his visit to the border. Without clear promises of executive action to shut the border and deport aliens, the trip was meaningless.
For him to ignore questions regarding the senseless death of this young woman, can only be considered callous by many Americans.
