This week, there was news about President Biden’s son, Hunter, being convicted of federal gun charges. It’s uncertain what the outcome of this surprise will be. Some experts suggest that he might receive significant fines or potentially serve time in jail. This whole situation is unlikely to have a positive impact on Biden as he navigates a challenging reelection campaign.
Never has a sitting president’s son been convicted of a crime. This should trigger a response from Joe.
Perhaps people are waiting for him to pardon Hunter—which would create a storm all on its own. On that very day, however, Biden attended an interesting event. He gave a speech, ranting and raving about one crucial American right. And although his son was just convicted of federal crimes, he made this wild demand to Congress.
Joe Biden on Tuesday made an appearance at a gun control conference where he spoke on banning “assault weapons” and other measures to limit firearms access. The speech came just hours after his son, Hunter Biden, was convicted for lying about his drug usage on a federal form to purchase a firearm…
“It’s time once again to do what I did when I was a Senator — ban assault weapons,” Biden told the crowd, which was met with cheers. “Who in God’s name needs a magazine that can hold 200 shells?” [Source: The Post Millennial]

Instead of commenting on his son’s convictions, Biden went to a gun control rally to harp on banning “assault weapons.” Pretty ironic that he is demanding restrictions to the Second Amendment after his son just got pinched over existing restrictions to gun ownership.
Biden made an argument he’s made in the past that gun-owning Americans are no match for the federal government, which has access to “F-15s.” Then, he contradicted himself by demanding the government take “assault weapons” from law-abiding citizens.
Um… if gun owners are such a small threat to the government, then why try to take semi-automatic rifles from them? Biden claimed that “nobody” needs a magazine that can “hold 200 shells.” Maybe someone who is worried about a president threatening them with F-15s needs that size of a magazine!
Biden defeats his own arguments… in the very same speech. And it doesn’t occur to him that he is advocating stricter measures than the ones that could land his own son in jail.
