Americans watch as the border crisis only gets worse. Many leaders, mostly Republicans, have debated why Biden refuses to do anything. Some have suggested he created this crisis on purpose, to welcome in as many illegal aliens as he could.
But surely, that can’t be right, could it? A president’s job is to first defend the country, making sure Americans are taken care of. Would a president, even a deranged Democrat like Joe Biden, really take steps to make our border insecure and overrun with invaders?
Well, the outgoing Border Chief wrote a letter, explaining why things are so bad. And he blames Biden and his administration.
Rodney S. Scott, a 29-year career law enforcement officer who retired last month as the U.S. Border Patrol chief, wrote the Democratic and Republican leaders of the Senate and its Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that career experts have offered numerous recommendations to slow the crisis but have been repeatedly rebuffed.
“Common sense border security recommendations from experienced career professionals are being ignored and stymied by inexperienced political appointees…
“The experienced civil service staff within CBP, ICE and DHS have provided multiple options to reduce the illegal entries and reestablish some semblance of border security through proven programs and consequences, yet every recommendation has been summarily rejected,” he wrote. Scott revealed that DHS Mayorkas has ignored “sound recommendations” from career leaders in the field, despite claiming he agreed with them. The administration is deliberately ignoring advice to secure the border, according to the man who was in charge of the situation.
Scott warned that the situation is rapidly getting worse, as Biden refused to allow Border Patrol the ability to protect the region. He made it very clear that Biden’s appointees have rejected moves to make the border more secure—even as they claim to the public that everything is under control.
This letter proves the suspicions of many leaders and Americans. That Biden’s administration is preventing the border from getting under control. In fact, they are deliberately ignoring advice that would make the border safe and reduce the number of illegals entering on a daily basis.
It could only be for one of two reasons. First is the general incompetence of the Biden administration. We know that just about everyone working for Biden is unfit for their job, perhaps the worst of the worst. It’s no surprise that their decisions are terrible, because they lack the talent, skill, and experience to do their job. That certain includes Mayorkas and his staff, who are clearly unqualified.
The other reason is obvious: that Biden wants this crisis. He was the one who removed Trump’s protections. And he was the one who continues to ignore the crisis, handing it off to people who end up doing nothing. Clearly, whoever is telling Biden what to do wants the border open and he is simply complying.
Both reasons are probably true to some extent. Biden’s administration thought Americans would just ignore the crisis or worse that we would support it. That’s not the case. And with each passing day that the crisis gets worse, Biden is sinking more and more underwater.
