With Republicans retaking the House from Democrats, Joe Biden’s agenda is all but stalled for the next two years. Sure, a real president would find compromises with the other party and land big deals for America. But Biden has made it clear it’s his way or the highway. He will not budge on his radical agenda. And so, Republicans in the House will not support him.
But Biden’s not only losing support from the House. Americans appear to be ditching him in droves over a major issue. Biden had previously demanded Congress pass radical bills to meet his goals. He’s even used executive orders and federal agencies to clamp down on this right.
And now, Americans are dropping support for it.
A Gallup poll reported Monday that support for stricter gun control fell from 66 percent in June to 57 percent near the end of October.
The poll was conducted October 3-20 via a random sampling of 1,009 American adults.
Gallup found 46 percent of Americans says there is a gun in their home or somewhere on their property while 33 percent said they “personally own a gun.”

Several times, Biden has tried to push extreme gun control as part of his agenda. He demanded Congress pass strict gun control bills, including the banning of A5-15s and other “assault rifles.” He’s tried to set limits on magazine capacity and other moves to restrict the Second Amendment. Biden has even tried to use federal agencies to create a backdoor federal registry and to ban “ghost guns.”
But according to this poll, public support for gun control is cooling. Democrats will often jump on shootings and other crimes to push for stronger gun restrictions. But when tempers cool, Americans quickly reject those notions.
Even the Supreme Court is striking down state-led efforts to ban gun ownership. Recent rulings have struck a blow against blue states that have hard limits on both gun ownership and concealed carry.
Most Americans understand that states with the harshest gun control laws have the worst crime. “Gun free zones” are often targets of criminals and shooters because they know their victims won’t shoot back.
Even 31% of Democrats in this survey revealed they owned a firearm. Considering the radical statements liberals make, you’d think that number would be much lower. But if nearly 1/3 of Democrats see the need for a gun, then Biden’s attempts at crushing the Second Amendment are doomed to fail.
