At the very start of his administration, Biden moved to ensure America’s energy production shrunk. He banned leases to drill for oil or gas on federal land, dramatically reducing our access to safe and affordable energy. Biden went on to allow Russia to invade Ukraine, leading to a boycott that forced oil prices to rise even more.
Even his own cronies admitted they were doing this on purpose, to force states and individuals to switch to “green” alternatives. But his Green New Deal has failed to succeed, as energy prices skyrocket and renewable sources of energy struggle to meet demand. Biden is not done, though, shutting down American success and innovation by choking our energy supply.
Because he just ensured prices will go up even more, with this silent move.
The Biden administration quietly rescinded a Trump-era regulation allowing companies to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) via rail in a victory for environmental groups.
In a federal filing Friday ahead of the holiday weekend, the Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) formally suspended the 2020 authorization of LNG transportation in rail tank cars. The rule will remain in effect until either a permanent rule regarding LNG rail tank car transportation is proposed and finalized — a process that may take several months — or June 30, 2025…
The Sierra Club and several other environmental organizations, like Earthjustice, Natural Resources Defense Council and Food & Water Watch, have argued that allowing LNG transportation could lead to mass devastation. They have stated LNG is highly flammable and vulnerable to devastating explosions which could destroy communities which railroads cut through. [Source: Fox News]
This is how stupid Biden and environmentalists are. They claim transporting fuel via trains is dangerous, because of the risk of derailment. But they also fight to block gas and oil pipelines from being used–a safe method of transport that can carry fuel across entire continents.
What do you really want, Biden? To shut down all forms of transporting energy… so we are left with nothing?
Without pipelines or train cars, we are left with transporting energy via tanker trucks. Oh, and those are so safe! Clearly, they will go after tanker trucks next, to ensure no fossil fuels are able to reach Americans in need.
It’s painfully clear that Biden does not care about Americans. A real president wouldn’t go out of his way to cripple Americans’ ability to succeed. He would be working hard to provide safe, reliable energy–while also protecting the environment.
But Biden is just a puppet for the radical left. And his decisions only help the rich and powerful, not regular Americans.
