President Biden has reportedly allocated at least $320 million of taxpayers’ money to construct a floating pier outside Gaza, seemingly in an effort to regain support from progressives sympathetic to the Palestinians during the Israel-Hamas conflict. However, the pier has encountered numerous issues, as it collapsed just eight days after its completion. The UN has ceased using it for supply deliveries even after repairs.
Initially, the Pentagon under Biden assured that having 1,000 U.S. troops near Gaza wouldn’t pose any problems. Nonetheless, recent reports indicate that there are significant risks associated with this deployment, raising concerns about the safety of our American soldiers. And now, we are learning why Biden is exposing them to such dangers.
The Biden administration has publicly praised American troops who are part of the risky mission to deliver aid to Gaza via a temporary pier, but behind the scenes, sources tell Breitbart News that the troops’ safety is being endangered for a “photo-op.” …
One U.S. source involved in the mission said the pier has been targeted daily. “[There] absolutely has been gunfire and mortars. It’s all day and night nonstop,” the source said.
Indeed, due to the risk of sniper-fire, troops are ordered to wear tactical vests as far as five nautical miles out from the coast, and aid has to be rushed off the boats onto the temporary pier due to the “constant” attempts to attack the pier, according to the source. [Source: Breitbart]
According to reports, the expensive and malfunctioning floating pier was constructed solely for “photo-ops.” American soldiers are facing constant attacks from gunfire and mortars. Despite being five miles from shore, they have to wear tactical vests due to sniper threats.
In spite of these dangers, they were instructed to uncover the plastic cover on delivery trucks for photo ops. It appears that Biden’s focus is on showcasing his “generosity” towards Palestinians, rather than ensuring the safety of American service members.
This floating pier has been a failure from the beginning. For days, supplies failed to reach UN warehouses as the trucks were repeatedly robbed. It is unclear whether any aid reached those in need or if it was all stolen and sold on the black market.
You may be wondering why people whom Biden claims to help are targeting American soldiers. While the left argues that Palestinians are victims in need of aid, the situation in Gaza reveals ongoing violence and hostility directed at Americans and Israelis.
Despite all this, the Pentagon claims that this pier was a success. Don’t be surprised, though, if this wasteful project is shut down soon.
