Big-Time Democrat Is Headed To The ‘Big House’ As Early As Next Week

Andrew Cuomo, the now disgraced former governor of NY, could be arrested next week and charged with groping of one of his former aides, The NY Post has learned.

Cuomo’s political problems began earlier this year when the former Governor’s deadly nursing home COVID policy finally began to get traction inside the media after the NY attorney general’s office said that the NY State Dept. of Health undercounted nursing home Coronavirus deaths. Several state Senate Democrats attempted to take away Cuomo’s emergency Coronavirus powers, and he even had calls for his impeachment for the cover-up of nursing home covid related deaths.

Despite all this controversy, it was not until numerous women started accusing Cuomo of sexual misconduct that it looked really bad for him. Cuomo clearly hoped that Dem. AG Letitia James’s investigation would exonerate him, but her investigation found that Cuomo sexually harassed eleven women at least.

A week after this report was published, then-Governor Cuomo announced his plan to resign. “My instinct is to fight past this controversy because I think it is politically motivated,” Cuomo said. “It is unfair and untruthful. If I could communicate these facts, New Yorkers would understand. I believe this.”

“This situation, by the looks of it, will cause months of controversy. That is what will happen,” Cuomo said. “That is how the political wind is going.” He listed other state priorities that should be focused on, including “money and time the government should spend solving COVID, protecting against the Delta variant, reopening the state, combating gun violence, and saving the city of New York.”

“New York-tough really means New York-loving, and I do love New York and I love you. I would never wish to be unhelpful in any way, and I believe given the circumstances, the best I do now is to step aside and allow the government to get back to governing, and therefore, that is what I will do.”

He submitted his resignation letter on Aug. 23.

His resignation, however, would not guard him from legal issues coming from his criminal behavior.

A misdemeanor complaint against Cuomo “was filed in Albany City Court,” Lucian Chalfen, a spokesperson for the state’s Office of Court Administration. “As this is a sexual crime, a redacted complaint will be available soon,” he said. Reportedly, Cuomo is being charged with forced touching.

Cuomo will also be forced to register as a sex offender if he is convicted.
