For a long time now, most Republicans have considered Rep. Liz Cheney to be a “Republican in name only.” The Wyoming representative voted against Trump in the Democrats’ second impeachment against him.
She doubled down on her hatred for her own party when she joined Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats on the J6 witch hunt. Cheney has continued to lie about Trump and other America-First Republicans. And all that stupidity led to her defeat in this year’s GOP primaries.
But she is far from done sabotaging herself and the Republican Party. Recently, she even made this stunning vow.
Sunday on CNN’s “New Day Weekend,” the show’s political panel discussed Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and her latest denouncement of former President Donald Trump and his supporters…
Cheney said, “I think that Donald Trump is the only president in American history who refused to guarantee a peaceful transition of power. And so the fact that my party in the months since then has refused to stand up to him I think, does tell you how sick the party is. I’m going to make sure Donald Trump is not the nominee, and if he is the nominee, I won’t be a Republican.” [Source: Breitbart]
Once again, Liz Cheney lies about the most influential Republican in America and his supporters. She claimed he was the “only president” in our history who “refused to guarantee a peaceful transition of power.”
That, of course, is grossly untrue. Donald Trump has long maintained that the 2020 Election was marred by fraud. He refused to concede, but–given the Senate’s certification of the results–stepped down from office.
But Cheney and most Democrats blame Trump for the actions of a few idiots on January 6. That is a lie they continue to push, claiming it is “proof” Trump refused the peaceful transition of power.
Even still, that seems to be the only reason Cheney is attacking her party and supporting Democrats. Really? What about, you know, all that socialism the Democrats are pushing? No opinion about that, Liz?
What about their America-Last policy on the border, energy, inflation, and conflict overseas? It seems Cheney sold out her entire party over an accusation. She’d rather back far-left Democrats who spit on GOP priorities, than back Donald Trump.
Perhaps more is going on? Oh, come on, we know there is. Cheney is a D.C. swamp-loving hypocrite. She hates Trump, not because she really believes he “defied” the transition of power. But because she is, like Democrats, an America-Last, globalist-loving, crook.
And she couldn’t hide it much longer. She even admits, if Republicans continue to support Trump’s America-First agenda in 2024, she’s leaving the party.
Honey, you left it a long time ago.
