Black Americans have fought to overcome many challenges, including slavery, segregation, and racism. But one thing they have yet to overcome just might be the most deadly, the oppression of the Democratic Party.
It’s painfully clear that Democrats need to keep black Americans discouraged, defeated, and depressed in order to keep winning elections. Even though black Americans have the same opportunity as everyone else. Even though we’ve had black leaders in every conceivable section or society. Democrats continue to push the claim that black Americans are little more than slaves.
For years, Democrats have been very good at subtly reminding black folks that they were once slaves, once forced to be second-class citizens compared to white folks. But these days, as the left’s strategy becomes weaker and weaker, Democrats are just screaming at black people to obey.
Just take for instance what black Democrat Cori Bush just claimed on Independence Day:
“When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people,” Bush tweeted. “This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free.” [Source: Twitter]
Wow. Ugly and dishonest does not begin to describe this kind of statement. It is a pathetic attempt at keeping black Americans under the thumb of Democrats. She wants all black people to believe they aren’t free, so they’ll be enslaved to the rule of the left (who, incidentally, will never let them be free).
But a few black Americans had something to say about this.
Far-left Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) faced widespread backlash on Sunday after she demonized the United States on the Fourth of July by falsely claiming that blacks are still not free…
Darrell B. Harrison, podcast host: “…Her anger is eating her alive from the inside out. I pity her because the ‘freedom’ she seeks is not the freedom she needs…”
Leo Terrell, political commentator: “Do not respond to this idiot: She just wants attention: She hates herself!!!”
Katrina Pierson, political adviser: “…These are the same people that continue to be, and vote for, Democrats who marginalize, compartmentalize, and victimize minorities in this country then complain.”
Thomas Chatterton Williams, writer: “I’m a 40-year-old American descendent of slaves. The year is 2021, and I have been ‘free’ my entire life.” [Source: Daily Wire]
Bush chanted her mantra that black Americans are not free, blindly ignoring the obvious realities. You can easily see that opportunity and freedom is available for everyone in this country. After all, why do millions seek to come here every year? (And why would Democrats encourage migrants to come to this country, if it’s so terrible to minorities?)
You can explain to Democrats again and again how false their claims about black people are. You can point to black Americans who, throughout our history, became top educators, entertainers, leaders of industries, scientists, writers, and artists. But Democrats like Bush will continue to stomp their feet, desperate to keep black Americans enslaved to the left.
But their schemes continue to fail. The only people not free in this country are the ones who deny themselves the opportunity to work hard and thrive, relying instead on a corrupt political party to give them costly government handouts.
