Democrats are banking entirely on a divisive message going into the 2022 midterms. Because they have no accomplishments to speak of, they hope that bashing Republicans and Donald Trump will be enough for them to save their majorities in the House and Senate.
That was capped off by Joe Biden’s infamous speech in Philadelphia when he slandered Republicans as “threats to democracy.” He has continued to attack conservatives, calling them “Ultra MAGA.” He’s painted millions of Americans as “extremists” all to scare voters into electing Democrats–who have all but destroyed our economy.
But Republican Sen. Tim Scott blasted Biden’s speech and called for real unity.
“I believe that we are the most exceptional people on earth, and we do unify after the crisis. The question is, can we have the type of leadership that unifies us without a crisis,” Scott said. “And what we have not seen from the Biden administration is that type of unifying message that people rally around.” […]
“And why would we have the President of the United States deliver a soul-crushing speech that was unnecessary, polarizing, and inflammatory?” the senator asked, referencing President Biden’s speech in Philadelphia, in which he spoke strongly against “MAGA Republicans” aligned with former President Donald Trump. “We have done better, we will do better, and that’s why elections have consequences.” [Source: Fox News]
The black Republican lawmaker reflected on how times of crisis often unify the country. But, he said that we don’t need to wait for the next crisis for Americans to be brought together. All it takes is a “type of leadership.”
Do we have that in this White House? Not according to Scott. He called Biden’s Philadelphia speech “soul-crushing” and “unnecessary.” Biden, in a speech branded as “unifying” pitted America against millions of its own citizens. He wrongly slammed Trump supporters (who make up the majority of the GOP) as dangerous and inciting violence.
Biden did nothing to appeal to the values and freedoms that unite all Americans. He did nothing to inspire citizens or to motivate them to reach across the aisle. All Biden did was spew poison meant to save his failing party in the upcoming elections.
All of it was a cover for Biden’s tremendous failures over the last two years. Democrats had control of the House, the Senate, and the White House since January 2021. Yet during that time, our country has taken a nose dive. The economy is in freefall. Our enemies around the world are growing. And it is getting worse with every day.
Biden can’t unify the country, because he is not a leader. His presidency is a failure. And his party has no idea how to run America.
All they have left is empty attacks.
