Blue City ‘Woke’ Pizza Chain Backed BLM–Now They Are Forced to Do This

We often hear the phrase “go woke, go broke,” It refers to the phenomenon where a company begins to spread far-left ideas in commercials or their content, only to lose millions of customers. From what we’ve seen, big companies that try to use their influence to spread woke propaganda to regular Americans quickly regret it.

But going woke have other disadvantages. A certain Portland-based pizza chain became known for backing radical, Marxist group Black Lives Matter. The chain aggressively promoted the leftist group in its social media content. The owners constantly virtue-signaled online its support for “anti-racism” a term used exclusively by racist leftists.

You can assume this company did nothing as the West Coast city was plunged into violent protests, increasing homelessness and drug use, and unchecked crime. And now, they are facing the consequences.

Woke pizza chain Hotlips is closing three of its five Portland stores. The company claimed the latest closures were also due to the pandemic, as well as “labor and economic stresses.”

The family-owned business established in 1984 announced Monday that it had shuttered its Civic Stadium, Hollywood, and Killingsworth locations. Dozens of workers will be laid off. Crime has been an increasingly difficult factor for Portland businesses to overcome…

Okay, Hotlips. We’re supposed to believe that you were forced to close three locations due to the “pandemic” from three years ago. How were these restaurants able to stay open, when the pandemic was actually hurting the country, but not now? I thought everything was so much better with Joe Biden.

Isn’t it funny how the company cites something that is no longer a factor as well as “labor and economic stresses.” But they don’t cite Biden’s inflation, high gas prices, and supply chain crises? Nor do they admit that all their support for BLM has not resulted in customer loyalty and increased sales?

It’s almost as if… those violent Marxists that want to destroy capitalism, aren’t good customers!

Not to mention how badly crime has hammered the city of Portland. The radical, leftist, useless city government has done nothing as crime skyrocketed. Portland was one of the worst cities in defunding police departments. Crime is getting so bad, larger companies like Walmart and Cracker Barrel are closing all of their locations within the city.

That’s pretty bad when Walmart (which often appeals to low-income customers) can’t even stay afloat.

The owners of Hotlips won’t see the light. If they really want to survive, they need to drop the woke garbage and start supporting politicians who will uphold law and order. They desperately need a few Republicans running the show.

But they won’t do that… and Portland will continue to sink.
