It’s no secret that hundreds of thousands of Americans have fled blue, Democrat-run states. Long before COVID locked down millions of us, residents were getting sick and tired of the high costs of living, taxes, and growing crime of states run by liberals.
When COVID hit, the shift accelerated. Americans who didn’t want to be told what to do by Democrats left these states, leaving entire communities empty in their wake. But in the last two years, as COVID waned, the trend hasn’t subsided. Americans keep leaving states run by tax-loving socialists, who leave the border open and reward criminals.
Now a new report is putting Democrats to shame.
Texas and Florida are the “largest-gaining” states in terms of population over the past year, while blue states are experiencing declines, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau…
The South of the U.S. was identified by the “largest-gaining” region with a 1.1 percent increase. But Texas, specifically, is identified as the largest-gaining state of the 50, adding short of half a million people, or 470,708, since summer 2021…
Florida follows Texas as the second largest-gaining state, adding well over 400,000 residents following Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) battling mask mandates and coronavirus restrictions for over two years…
The report also found 18 states seeing population declines, including Gov. Kathy Hochul’s (D) New York and Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) blue California, both of which experienced a “six-figure” decrease. [Source: Breitbart]
Ouch. This is a report the mainstream media won’t be eager to share. The two fastest-growing states, the ones with the largest gains in recent years, were the red states of Texas and Florida. Their populations have grown in post-pandemic America, while blue states are failing.
How bad is it for major, Democrat-run states? California and New York, the poster children for the radical left, have lost “six-figure” numbers of residents. That’s over one hundred thousand people. Where did these people go?
They got the hell out of Dodge, that’s for sure. They fled to red states with better jobs, lower taxes, less crime, and an overall better quality of life. Gavin Newsom can complain about Texas and Florida all he wants. But those states aren’t losing residents hand over fist.
Democrat governors have long slammed Republican states, calling them backward and anti-freedom. If that were true, why are so many Americans leaving California, Illinois, New York, and other liberal states?
It seems to me that Americans are done with leftist policies. And those who can leave are leaving.
