Just because the media isn’t reporting on it doesn’t mean it’s going away. For years, the Democrats who run blue cities have gone out of their way to reward criminals. Many of these cities have defunded police departments, leading to fewer cops to patrol the streets. Radical leftist district attorneys went further, getting rid of cash bail and refusing to prosecute a multitude of crimes.
In some cities, shoplifting and other related crimes aren’t even investigated. Gangs execute sophisticated operations, robbing shops in broad daylight. Because of the radical people in power, the police don’t do anything about it. How bad has it gotten? Small businesses are being destroyed.
One suddenly shut its doors, leaving a damning note against this radical, liberal city.
A Portland, Oregon, clothing shop permanently shut down this month after facing a string of break-ins that has left the store financially gutted, according to a note posted to the front of the store.
“Our city is in peril,” a printed note posted on Rains PDX store reads, according to KATU2. “Small businesses (and large) cannot sustain doing business, in our city’s current state. We have no protection, or recourse, against the criminalbehavior that goes unpunished. Do not be fooled into thinking that insurance companies cover losses. We have sustained 15 break-ins … we have not received any financial reimbursement since the 3rd.”
The store’s owner Marcy Landolfo said that after 15 break-ins over the last year and a half, the business can’t survive the financial burdens the crimes have cost the shop.
“The problem is, as small businesses, we cannot sustain those types of losses and stay in business. I won’t even go into the numbers of how much has been out of pocket,” she said. [Source: Fox Business]

Just as the country enters the holiday shopping season, this retailer (and small business owner) had to shut her doors. All because the leftist imbeciles who run Portland refuse to enforce the law. She suffered 15 break-ins. And despite what Antifa and others claim, she was not reimbursed for twelve of them.
Many radical leftists who encourage crime claim it doesn’t hurt businesses. They say these stores are rich enough to afford it and insurance covers the damages. That’s a lie. Small businesses struggle to make ends meet even in good times. And a few threats can break them. Insurance isn’t ready to just hand over checks. And even big businesses would rather shut down a location than put up with crime.
It is utterly insane that cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, Austin, New York, and more aren’t enforcing their own laws. Democrats are turning a blind eye as criminals rob law-abiding citizens left and right. When it is going to end?
Probably not until every last store is shut down and voters get mad enough to vote these idiots out of office.
But will there be enough people left in these cities to do that?
