The world was shocked at the news that someone stormed the stage to assault comedian Dave Chappelle. Many rightly pointed out that this could start, after Will Smith assaulted Chris Rock at the Oscars.
News reports indicated the man who attacked Chappelle had a deadly weapon in his possession. Chappelle avoided any serious injuries and the man was apprehended by security. He was later arrested.
But people were shocked even more when it came out that Chappelle’s assailant won’t face strict charges.
Dave Chappelle’s lawyer recently told the press this past weekend that it is “insane” that the 23-year-old alleged assailant who attacked his client would likely only receive a slap on the wrist thanks to Los Angeles County’s prosecutor referring the case to the L.A. City Attorney’s Office…
On Thursday, The Daily Wire reported that Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón would not be seeking felony charges for the man accused of attacking Chappelle last Tuesday night because, according to sources, the suspect did not assault Chappelle while using a deadly weapon, despite having one in his luggage. So why is this (widely unliked) AG not pressing felony charges? Because he is a far-left socialist who was banked by—give a guess—George Soros.
During the 2020 election, groups backing Gascón’s candidacy received millions of dollars from billionaire George Soros. Since taking office, the progressive prosecutor has been repeatedly criticized for what critics say is a soft-on-crime approach advocated by leftist district attorneys across the country. Pretty disturbing that George Soros, a foreigner, is bankrolling progressive lawyers all over the country. These socialist Democrats are pushing policies that reward criminals, defund police, and encourage crime.
Almost as if Soros wants the deterioration of our society, in order to impose socialism?
This man attacked Dave Chappelle. God knows what he was going to do, had he not been apprehended? Such a move needs to be punished, largely so others won’t think they can get away with it.
Chappelle was lucky the man did not have his knife, which was later found in his possession. So why the hell is this attorney general not pressing felony charges?
This person will most likely be let off. What is he going to do next? This pathetic AG is basically telling him and other would-be attackers that they can do whatever they want. Even assault a comedian on stage, because they won’t face charges.
