The Democrat debates were certain to be a comedy routine full of insane promises and impossible expectations from the dozens of candidates.
But on Wednesday night, during the first debate, one man stood out with his insanity far in front of the others with one proposal.
Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro said he not only believes in a woman’s right to an abortion, he believes in a transgender female’s (a man who has become a woman) right to abortion.
We know it could be confusing, but a transgender female still has a male anatomy, even after surgery, they have no uterus or any of the required parts to get pregnant.
But that does not matter to the “Woke” Castro who still wants to ensure that they have a right to get an abortion.
“I don’t believe only in reproductive freedom, but reproductive justice,” he said, inventing a new phrase for them to use.
“What that means is that just because a woman or, let’s not forget someone in the trans community, a trans female is poor, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have the right to exercise that right to choose.
“I absolutely would cover the right to have an abortion and more than that, everybody in this crowd and watching at home knows that in our country today, a person’s right to choose is under assault in places like Missouri and Alabama and Georgia.
“I would appoint judges to the federal bench that understand the precedent of row versus raid wade and transition to a health care system where everyone can exercise that right.,” he said.
This is beyond mind numbing. This takes ridiculousness to new plateaus never before dreamed of until this hodgepodge of bad ideas took the stage.
What he is suggesting is like promising that every beluga whale has the right to get track sneakers to wear on their nonexistent feet.
Senator Elizabeth Warren, never one to be outdone on the crazy train, followed Rep. Castro’s promise to allow men to have abortion by proposing a federal law.
“I would make certain that every woman has access to the full range of reproductive health care services and that includes birth control, it includes abortion, it includes everything for a woman. “
I want to add on that, it’s not enough for us to expect the courts to protect us. 47 years ago roe vs. Wade was decided and we looked to the courts all that statement.
“State after state undermined roe and put in exceptions and come right up to the edge of taking away protection.
“We’re have an America where most people support it and we need to make it federal law,” she said before her time was done.
We have to give Rep. Castro credit where credit is due. It takes a special type of talent to make Sen. Elizabeth Warren look like the sane one in the room.
