Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer could be in big trouble after being caught potentially calling for the assassination of President Donald Trump.
Whitmer did an interview with NBC News’ Chuck Todd in which she claimed that chants to “lock her up” at a recent Trump rally, were “incentivizing domestic terrorism.” But a symbol displayed by Whitmer, led many to believe she was trying to send a signal, calling for the president’s death.
During the interview Whitmer said that it was “incredibly disturbing” that the “lock her up” chant happened, and claimed that President Donald Trump was “inspiring and incentivizing and inciting this kind of domestic terrorism.”
What caught people’s attention, however, was a sign sitting next to Whitmer that read “86 45.”
“Governor Gretchen Whitmer displayed an ’86 45′ sign during her TV appearance,” the Trump campaign said in a tweet. “86 can be shorthand for killing someone. Whitmer is encouraging assassination attempts against President Trump just weeks after someone sent a ricin-laced package to the White House.”
Republican National Committee (RNC) Rapid Response Director Steve Guest responded to Gray’s tweet by tweeting out a screenshot of a definition of “86,” which stated: “Eighty-six, eighty-sixed, 86ed, or 86’d is American English slang for canceling something, killing someone, getting rid of something (by burying it), ejecting someone, or refusing service.”
Even leftist New York Times reporter Kathy Gray noticed the pin during Whitmer’s television interview, tweeting: “Just noticed the 8645 pin in the lower corner of @GovWhitmer appearance on #MeetThePress.”
Tensions have been boiling between Whitmer and the president for quite some time now.
The delusional Michigan governor has been trying to frame the president for a plot to kidnap her over her excessive coronavirus restrictions that was foiled by the FBI.
Whitmer, along with the mainstream media, have claimed that the group was a right leaning group – despite the fact that it includes an anti-Trump anarchist and a Black lives matter supporter.
This symbolic call for the president’s death could be the next step in the evolution of her hatred for President Trump after the president on Saturday challenged the Democrat governors unconstitutional coronavirus lockdown orders.
“You’ve got to get your governor to open up your state. Okay? And get your schools open. Get your schools open. The schools have to be open, right?” Trump asked a crowd in Michigan as they responded, shouting, “Lock her up.”
“Lock them all up,” Trump responded as he encouraged media outlets covering the rally to point their cameras in the crowd’s direction. “Look where that goes, all the way over to there … You can show: turn the cameras. They never like turning the cameras. They never like to show the kind of crowds,” he continued, noting that the media was not responding.
That’s a lot of people. That’s a lot of people. Go ahead, turn your camera, go ahead, turn it. They hate to do it. They hate to show the crowds.”
