Former Dem Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard slammed President Biden and VP Kamala Harris, saying that their border policy was a “disaster.”
Gabbard started by calling out both Joe Biden and VP Harris in a tweet later on Wednesday, saying that the duo’s open-border policy had directly caused a humanitarian crisis.
“@JoeBiden @KamalaHarris, the national security and humanitarian crisis on the southern border is the direct end result of your open-border policy. As I stated in my 2020 campaign, we cannot have a secure nation if our borders are not secure,” she said via twitter.

Gabbard then continued by issuing a second tweet early on Thursday, saying that the only people who truly benefit from the overwhelming numbers and chaos at the southern border were cartels and traffickers who could make use of the confusion to their advantage. She also said that Biden should bring back former President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, which she said was working.
“The Biden open-door agenda has been a complete disaster. It must end now. The top beneficiaries of open borders are the cartels, gangs, and human traffickers,” she stated.

“The Trump policy of making people wait on the Mexican side of the border did work and must be reinstated,” Gabbard said.
Since the start of the Biden White House, migrants have came into the southern border in a record-setting flood. Supposedly a recent earthquake and some political unrest in Haiti led to a bigger influx of Haitian migrants in addition to South Americans, resulting in a bottleneck of thousands being crammed into makeshift camps with very little access to water, food or hygiene while they are waiting to get processed.
Former President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy allowed migrants to ask for asylum in the United States, but required them to stay on the other side of the southern border until their time to meet with U.S. officials.
This comes at a time when President Joe Biden’s approval rating is already very low and dropping at a fast rate. With many Independents and even some Democrats reporting they regret voting for him.
