Democrats horribly miscalculated in the years following the 2020 Election. They seemed to think that all they had to do to stay in power was… nothing. Sit around, being the tumors on the country that they are. And whenever anyone raises an objection, they’d just point a finger at Trump and call him a “threat” or “insurrectionist.”
The left seemed to believe they had a blank check to be as corrupt as they wanted. They could ignore every last concern from voters, so long as they kept making Trump out to be the devil. Surely, voters would flock to the left if they really believed Trump was the bad guy. So, Democrats didn’t have to do anything to fix the country.
They were invincible!
Except, Americans aren’t buying their schtick.
In the first major federal elections after the January 6, 2021… seems to be having little impact on voters. Instead, they find a sagging economy and rising crime to be far more relevant than more abstract concerns about democracy, and appear likely to hand Republicans control of the House of Representatives…
That’s even the case here in Virginia’s heavily military Second Congressional District…
That insulation isn’t protecting the district’s two-term incumbent, Democrat Elaine Luria, from an uphill reelection fight. Luria is on the January 6 committee and has played a visible role in the nationally televised hearings about the attack on the Capitol. [Source: Vox]
The idiot liberals at Vox obviously believed the left’s lies about Trump and assumed–like the rest of the left–that Americans would believe their narrative that the GOP was a “threat to democracy.” Because a small band of morons ran around the Capitol on January 6, 2020–we were supposed to believe that conservatives were terrorists hellbent on destroying our country.
Except, nobody–not even liberals in blue parts of Virginia–is buying that line. More than that, they are not interested in the left’s attempts to gin up accusations against Trump with Pelosi’s J6 commission.
In fact, that very strategy is backfiring in a big way. Democrats have wasted so much time (and money) on their attacks against Trump, that they’ve neglected actual problems facing our society.
Since 2020, America has been hammered by many problems. Inflation is crippling household incomes and businesses. Rising gas prices and the broken supply chain are destroying the economy. The open border is threatening the lives and livelihoods of millions. And runaway crime is turning blue states into no-man’s-lands.
And that’s not getting into the terrible decisions made by Joe Biden–decisions backed by his corrupt and intelligently bankrupt party.
The amount of damage done by Biden and the Democrats in 2021 and 2022 makes the Capitol Riot look like a day at the nursery. Democrats have single-handedly tried to take down our country through socialist policies, neglect of law and order, and inciting violence all over the world.
The really hilarious thing is… they still don’t realize their narrative has failed.
