Republicans are now in control of the House. That means they have enough votes to get all kinds of conservative legislation passed. And, if they are willing to negotiate with the Senate and use their leverage, they can get plenty done in the next two years.
House Democrats are disgusted by their sudden loss of power. Pelosi is out for good and the Senate can’t steamroll bad bills through anymore. House Democrats will vote against any bill coming out of this GOP majority. But their reaction to a bill literally dedicated to protecting Americans is downright evil.
Senior Democratic lawmakers took to Twitter shortly after the House passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires doctors to provide care for infants born alive after a failed abortion, to criticize the Republicans who supported the “extreme” bill.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, and Vice President Kamala Harris were among those who responded.
“Today, instead of joining Democrats to condemn all political violence, [House Republicans] chose to push their extreme anti-choice agenda,” Pelosi tweeted Wednesday…
Schumer, who did not vote on the bill as he is a senator, responded similarly.
“The MAGA Republican-controlled House is putting on display their extreme views on women’s health with legislation that does not even have the support of the American people,” he wrote. [Source: Fox News]
This is truly disgusting. Democrats are outraged that Republicans passed a bill protecting babies that survive an abortion. Let’s be clear, this bill simply requires a doctor to do what he can to keep a baby alive–who is currently alive. That’s the job any doctor takes an oath to do.
Yet, Democrats are calling that extreme. Pelosi says that requiring a doctor to keep a baby alive is an “extreme anti-choice agenda.” I guess Pelosi is saying she supports killing a child who comes out of the womb alive. And she calls Republicans extreme?
This is how far the Democrats have fallen in their gross obsession to protect abortion. They are willing to prevent a bill that simply requires doctors to protect a living child. For Democrats, all abortion options are on the table.
Hell, these are the same monsters who want post-birth abortion, which is killing a fully-grown child after he is born. Schumer claimed their views were supported by the American people. Ah… I think not.
Say what you will about liberals, but I doubt most of them want doctors killing living babies who are out of the womb. These aren’t “clumps of cells,” folks. These are living, breathing human beings who can survive outside their mothers’ wombs.
And Democrats want them dead. Let that sit in.
