You have to be an idiot (or a liar) not to admit there was something seriously wrong in the 2020 Election. We might never fully know what happened, but even the casual observer knows “irregularities’ and other problems cast heavy shadows on the outcome of that election.
Numerous states have scrambled to plug up holes that led to problems in their election systems. Some states did a much better job than others. But that’s not good enough. If Republicans want to be confident that our democracy is untainted by fraud (and basic human error), they need to do much more to protect it.
And it appears, they have.
The RNC, the central committee for the Republican Party responsible for various actions such as fundraising and election strategy, has continued its multi-million-dollar investment into election integrity for the midterm elections.
These investments include 17 state election integrity directors and 28 in-state election integrity councils, who have recruited tens of thousands of poll watchers and workers in battleground states across the country.
With 100 days left before the election, the RNC has surpassed a significant milestone with over 32,000 poll watchers in primary, general, and special elections so far this cycle. In addition, they have made over 65,000 unique volunteer engagements and have held over 2,700 Election Integrity trainings. [Source: Breitbart]
Questions still linger, but it appears the Republican National Committee has left no stone unturned in securing election integrity in the upcoming midterms. With so much on the line, the GOP has invested millions in efforts to prevent future irregularities that amount to stolen elections.
The party has focused on battleground and swing states. Their efforts have produced election integrity directors and state election integrity councils. These people and groups are overseeing the recruitment and training of tens of thousands of poll watchers and workers.
These workers will be present during voting times, ensuring everything is done by the book.
So far, the RNC has overseen election integrity in many critical states including Ohio, Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, New Jersey, and others. They report that their work has helped ensure smooth voting in places that were previously rife with conflict and confusion.
Their work will protect, among other things, voter ID, absentee signature matching, bipartisan observers, updated voter rolls, and timely ballot counting.
All this sounds like a major hassle, but just look at what happened two years ago. Republicans are taking no chances in this midterm battle. The outcome of these elections will not only determine Congress for the next two years but state and local government.
Polling suggests Democrats will lose big. But this is not a party that follows the rules. They will do everything in their power to undermine our elections to steal a victory. Republicans have to be twice as vigilant to ensure fair and honest elections.
Because otherwise, the left will rob us blind.
