DeSantis Warns Conservatives About What’s Coming For Them

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) warned on Tuesday at a press conference that the fleet of 87,000 additional IRS agents, made possible by the liberal Inflation Reduction Act, will be deployed to target middle class Americans.

Ironically, the so-called Inflation Reduction Act would increase inflation, according to DeSantis.

Since gas prices are still substantially higher than they were while previous President Donald Trump was in office, he claimed that Democrats want to stifle “our own productivity here” because “there are so many offensive things, and a lot of people aren’t talking about it.”

And finally, they really impose taxes on the production of energy, including oil and gas, in this law. How, therefore, are you going to pay less when they’re taxing it more as a result? All of those expenses and taxes will be passed on to each of you in the form of higher prices. Consequently, that will undoubtedly occur, he asserted, calling it “extremely detrimental.”

They are also handling the taxes. He refuted suggestions that the IRS will only target wealthy by stating that they were recruiting 87,000 more agents.

“First off, there aren’t nearly enough millionaires to fill 87,000 seats. Second, billionaires employ accountants and attorneys, and a large portion of what they do is take advantage of the tax code’s loopholes, which Congress has created over time.” He debunked the misconceptions of the left by saying, “That’s just the truth.”

When this bill was being discussed in the Senate, an amendment was put up that prohibited using any of these IRS officers to pursue individuals who make less than $400,000 annually. The Democrats opposed that amendment, so it might pass for anyone, he said.

“Which individuals will they target? They’re going to target those who lack the resources to resist these examinations. They know how to do this because they have attorneys and accountants, but they’re going to target a lone owner. They intend to pursue some handyman. They’ll target everyone operating an Uber or running a family restaurant. According to DeSantis, the agents would be used to go after people they don’t like because you can put the screws on those folks, and you can really get a pound of flesh.”
