Senator Elizabeth Warren (Dem-Mass.) has slammed billionaire Elon Musk yet again for supposedly not paying his taxes.
Despite Musk proving otherwise, Warren still is repeating her claims.
During a weekend TV interview with CNN, Warren said the world’s richest man had not paid his taxes.
“Elon Musk in 2018, we have actually viewed his tax returns,” Senator Warren said. “You know how much he gave in taxes, one of the richest people? Zero. And he is not the only one. Jeff Bezos pays less in taxes than a public firefighter or schoolteacher. And they do this because they are only getting taxed on income. They make sure they do not have any official income. They just have the stock that keeps building in value. They borrow against this. It’s not right.”
According to a recent ProPublica report, Musk had zero federal income taxes in the year 2018. Musk said that he gave no federal income taxes the filing year because of inadvertently overpaying in 2017. Musk in Dec. announced he was poised to give more than $11 billion the next year.
Musk returned fire at Warren’s comments on Twitter, saying, “Will visit IRS next time I am in DC just to say hey, since I paid the most taxes in history for a person last year. Maybe they can give me a cookie or something.”
What else?
Warren and Elon Musk in Dec. sparred online after she had accused him of not giving anything in taxes, saying he was a “freeloader.”
Musk in reply branded Warren a “Senator Karen.”
He said, “If you would just open your eyes for only 2 seconds, you would see I pay more taxes than any American citizen in history just this year. Hey don’t spend it all … oh wait you did spend it all.”
This comes at a time when the far-left has pushed for more and more socialist like programs. Most of them trillion-dollar bills that have given away free money for a variety of far-left agendas. One of those, which many conservatives at first glance support, was the farmer relief payments. But if you dig a little deeper, you will see that white farmers were excluded from those relief payments. Racial discrimination in America which Democrats supported and Republicans ignored.
