Thanks to the pandemic, Joe Biden has been able to avoid nearly all events related to a major political campaign. Which allowed the aging Democrat to hide most evidence that he’s facing physical and mental decline. But America is expecting Biden to debate President Trump three times. What will he do then? How will he fare? Democrats are already fearing the worst and are trying to get him out of it.
Let’s face it, if this had been an ordinary election cycle, Joe Biden would already be out. After becoming the “presumptive” nominee in March, Biden would have had to face months of relentless travel, campaigning, and appearances. In addition to countless interviews, the Democrat would have had to host events large and small in order to build up excitement.
None of it would have gone well.
The COVID panic allowed him to hide in his basement, shielding himself from the growing signs of his mental decline. Even when he has made appearances, audiences have been baffled by his confusion, unending gaffes, and even shocking bursts of temper.
Can this man handle three long debates with Donald Trump—a president known for his robust energy and biting comments? Many, many conservatives don’t think so and they’re looking forward to it. But now, more Democrats are trying to urge Biden to get out of the debates.
If he does, it will only be a bigger disaster for the left.
Joe Lockhart, the former White House press secretary, penned an op-ed last week urging Joe Biden to skip debating President Trump prior to the November election.
“Whatever you do, don’t debate Trump,” he wrote on CNN. “Trump has made more than 20,000 misleading or false statements according to the Washington Post. It’s a fool’s errand to enter the ring with someone who can’t follow the rules or the truth. Biden will undoubtedly take heat from Republicans and the media for skipping the debates. But it’s worth the risk as trying to debate someone incapable of telling the truth is an impossible contest to win.”

Lockhart is spinning his wheels, trying to come up with a plausible excuse to get Joe out of the debates. Joe can’t even come up with his own excuses, he needs this guy to do it for him.
Oh, Donald Trump might lie during the debates? That’s it? Aren’t there these people called debate moderators whose sole job it is to question and challenge the debaters? Don’t media outlets write fact-checking articles after a debate to debunk anything the candidates said that might not have been right?
And Lockhart is conveniently ignoring the most important thing: that if Trump says anything false, Joe Biden is the one that is supposed to debunk him. Because that’s the whole point of a debate.
Lockhart is pathetically admitting that Joe Biden won’t be able to confront Trump during the debates. He is exposing to the country the fact that Biden doesn’t have the wherewithal or brains to deal with anything Trump says.
The Democrat goes on to say that Trump faces a “surefire loss” in November. Oh really? Then why are you so scared to have Biden face Trump in a debate? When has anyone in the history of our democracy won an election by avoiding a debate? How does Biden expect to be taken seriously by voters if he’s too scared to face Trump?
This man wants to be president, which means he would be facing serious challenges and enemies on a daily basis. But he can’t face Trump for a few debates? What Lockhart is admitting is that Biden does not have what it takes to run a presidential campaign… and he does not have what it takes to be president.
We know the truth: if Biden faces Trump on the debate stage, he’ll totally fall apart. It will be humiliating for him and his party. But if he backs out of the debates, he’s already admitting defeat.
