GOP Threat to Democracy? California Democrats Jeopardize Process by REFUSING to Do This

The narrative being thrown around by the left these days is that Republicans are “threats to democracy.” Democrats are accusing “MAGA” Republicans of trying to dismantle our institutions because some of them still question the 2020 results.

Think about that. Democrats are making a huge accusation against millions of Americans, simply because Republicans have questions.

Doesn’t sound very democratic to me, does it?

But wait! There’s more. Democrats are such proud defenders of democracy, that some of them now refuse to participate in a pillar of the democratic process.

They claim to be “defending democracy,” but not one of the Democratic Party candidates for statewide office in California has agreed to debate his or her opponent, rejecting what many voters see as a key part of the democratic process…

Democrats have rejected all of these requests for debates, though media outlets have been interested in hosting them. Breitbart News has even responded favorably to a general call from Hochman’s campaign to media outlets to host debates — to no avail.

Now, why would California Democrats refuse to debate their political rivals? Aren’t debates an important part of our democracy? Since the very beginning of our country, candidates have debated each other.

It is a critical event in an election. Debates provide voters with a chance to hear the views of all candidates running for an office.

You’d think Democrats would be eager to humiliate their Republican rivals, proving to the state just how better they are. Show voters that Republican policies don’t work and just don’t make sense.

Unless, of course, these Democrats actually fear being humiliated by Republicans.

It’s no secret that California’s in a downward spiral. Tens of thousands of residents have fled the state to Republican-run ones. Homelessness is out of control. Crime is through the roof. There is plenty for Republicans to throw back at Democrats, demanding answers to why these leaders let it get this bad.

But Newsom and his cronies will have no answers. Their policies deliberately turned California into a modern hellscape. And they intend to make things worse in the coming years.

You can’t debate someone when you are failing at your job.

More than that, these Democrats are actually admitting they don’t believe in the democratic process. They don’t intend on running a fair campaign against Republicans. They will let the biased media and their dishonest campaign ads do the work for them. They are denying Republicans a chance to fairly discuss the issues.

That’s something only third-world dictators do.
