Guess What Biden Did During ‘Negotiations’ With The Taliban?

The chaos inside the nation of Afghanistan could have reportedly been avoided completely if President Biden had only accepted the Taliban’s previous offer for the United States to have total control of Kabul and the airport.

According to a news report from the Washington Post, as the Taliban started taking over control of Afghanistan, senior United States military leaders had a meeting with Taliban leader Abdul Ghani Baradar in Doha, Qatar, where an offer was given for the U.S. to have control of Kabul until all United States troops had withdrawn; this offer was declined. From the news report:

“In a quickly arranged meeting, senior American leaders in Doha – including McKenzie, the leader of U.S. Central Command – talked with Abdul Ghani Baradar, leader of the Taliban’s political section.”

“We have an issue,” Baradar said, according to the United States official. “We have two paths to deal with it: You take responsibility for guarding Kabul or you need to allow us to do it.”

“McKenzie told Baradar that the United States mission was only to evacuate Americans, Afghan allies and others who are at risk. The U.S., he said to Baradar, needed the airport to do this.”

“An understanding was reached, according to two other American officials: The U.S. would have the airport until Aug. 31. And the Taliban would have the city.”

As the days went on, the security inside Kabul became more hostile, leading in the terrorist attack last week that killed 13 military troops and 160 Afghans. According to a report last week, the Biden admin. entrusted the Taliban so much with securing Kabul that they were supposedly given a list with names of American citizens and Afghan allies in the area.

When asked about the list, Biden did not deny it:

“There were times where our military has spoken to their military counterparts within the Taliban and said, This bus is driving through with so many people on it and we want you to let this or group through.”

Republicans via Twitter spoke about the Washington Post’s report and slammed the Biden White House for not accepting the Taliban’s first offer:
