According to the report, Rosemont Seneca Partners’ president Eric Schwerin was invited to 21 of the previous 30 meetings as a calendar attendee. According to the article, Schwerin is a long-standing personal friend of Hunter Biden, having access to some Joe Biden’s financial information.
The Post highlighted a number of instances of Hunter Biden’s various meetings. In 2012, for example, he had dinner with Russian oligarchs during his visit to Moscow from February 15-18, and in 2015, he met with Romanian ambassador to the U.S. George Maior. Both trips saw Hunter Biden reunite with his father just days after returning home.
Hunter Biden’s correspondence with Andres Pastrana, the former Colombian president, sparked particular attention.
“Dear Mr. President. I am looking forward to seeing you. Depending on your schedule, I hope we could have lunch or coffee… I’d want to talk about an opportunity that I believe you have already been informed about OAS,” Hunter Biden wrote to Pastrana in Feb 2012. “I’m checking on my father’s calendar.”
After their meeting, Pastrana met with Joe one month later.
“My father has a relationship with President Biden because they worked together on Plan Colombia” Biden was ‘Senator and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee,’ according to Pastrana’s son.
According to the source, he pushed back and allegedly said that the discussion was merely “about my father’s gratitude for then VP Biden and his assistance during Colombia.”
