Impeachment Is All Anyone Is Talking About In D.C. Right Now

Soon after the fall of Afghanistan, American lawmakers demanded accountability from Joe Biden.

Even a few Democrats were discussing investigations and probes into how the administration pulled our forces from the foreign land.

And despite what the media claims, that pressure is not going away. In fact, with news coming out of Kabul that the Taliban is taking Americans hostage, things could be getting much worse for old Joe.

Very quickly, some outspoken Republicans started talking about impeachment. Rep. Lauren Boebert held a press conference calling for the impeachment of the administration’s top leaders. But some constitutional experts claimed impeachment was off the table.

But the more we’re learning about Biden’s decisions, the more leaders in D.C. are grumbling. Now, another lawmaker is dropping the “T” bomb on Sleepy Joe.

Representative Brian Mast (R-FL) said on this week’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that President Joe Biden should be impeached for treason…

“We know for a fact that the Taliban is the sworn enemy of the United States of America… I would absolutely consider the manipulation of intelligence, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. All three of those things are part of what meets the constitutional definition of treason.” [Source: Breitbart]

Brian Mast of Florida is calling out Joe Biden’s disastrous decisions on Afghanistan, saying what he did amounts to treason.

He pointed to three things Biden’s decisions resulted in. The “manipulation of intelligence,” “giving aid” to the enemy, and “comfort to the enemy.”

It’s possible he is referring to how Biden claimed, based on what “intelligence” he received, that the Taliban was unlikely to take over Afghanistan. Yet we are learning that his top military officials warned him not to pull our troops. And the former President of Afghanistan told him about the Taliban’s plans to invade.

As far as giving comfort and aid to the enemy, Bast is most likely referring to the billions of dollars of military equipment we left behind that ended up in the Taliban’s hands. Biden hastily pulled our troops to meet his ill-conceived timeline. That gave the Taliban an open window to seize a staggering number of weapons, vehicles, and other equipment.

Mast believes this can be considered treason, given the shocking depth of failure on Biden’s part. The representative went on to say that Biden’s “empty” decisions suggest he is suffering from some kind of mental illness. The lawmaker suggested dementia or perhaps “schizophrenia.”

If enough lawmakers believe Biden is mentally unfit to lead, there won’t even be a need for impeachment. They could pressure the administration to remove Biden through the 25th Amendment.

As it stands now, however, it is unlikely either move will work. Democrats, with a majority in Congress, will not want to remove Biden—even if they agree he failed in Afghanistan. There is little chance they will impeach Biden, and admit Trump was right about him.

So, it falls to the American people. They can ensure Biden is held accountable, if they give Republicans Congress in 2022.
