It’s still up in the air when or how Biden will impose his unconstitutional vaccine mandate onto most American businesses. But long before that happens, numerous liberal-run cities and states have issued mandates of their own. And it has only resulted in disaster.
New York pushed a mandate on their medical workers. Despite legal battles, thousands of medical workers have already quit, leading to a massive healthcare crisis in the state. Instead of learning from this situation, the city of New York is poised to push a mandate on government workers.
There’s just a little problem. A large portion of city firefighters refuses to get vaccinated. Come November 1, they will be forced out of their jobs. And the city’s top firefighter is sounding the alarm.
The head of New York City’s firefighters’ union has warned that Mayor Bill de Blasio’s vaccine mandate will plunge the city into chaos, prolonging emergency response times due to staff shortages…
“The response times are going to go through the roof. We’re just not going to be able to get to the emergencies in time.”
“Fires are going to burn longer. Heart attack victims are going to be laying on the floor longer,” he added. “People in stuck elevators are going to be stuck there for hours if not days.”…
Ansbro told host Brian Kilmeade that the mandate has done little to spur firefighters into getting vaccinated, with a full 45 percent still not having received the shot…
“The mayor is going to be faced with either sending us home or sticking to his guns,” he concluded. “And his guns are going to get New York City residents killed … When this city goes into utter chaos on Nov. 1, be ready to pick up the pieces that the mayor causes.” [Source: Breitbart]
Other Democrat-run cities have hit similar crises. In Chicago, the leftist mayor had to beg local suburban communities to send her cops, to replace the many officers she forced out of work. Most sheriffs denied her request. Much the same has happened everywhere these mandates have been issued.
It’s pretty shocking that Democrats think they can just mandate something, expecting us to comply. In Republican-run states, there are no mandates. Their leaders understand that free Americans can decide for themselves to get the vaccine or not. And guess what? There is no chaos happening in those cities or states.
Meanwhile, New York is set to lose 40% or more of its firefighters, all because their mayor is on a power trip.
Just a year ago, Americans were terrified of this virus. They were willing to put up with mask mandates and lockdowns, just to avoid catching it. Today, many of those same Americans refuse to get a vaccine that reduces the risk by a large margin. Why? Because Democrats are incapable of leading. Instead of instilling confidence in Americans to get the shot, they tried to mandate it.
But Americans are not pawns of the left’s wannabe dictatorship. We are free people who don’t like being told what to do.
Democrats are learning that the hard way, if they bother to learn it at all.
