Mike Pence might be on the outs with most Trump supporters, but he still is an influential voice within the GOP. Many speculate on his 2024 future, as recent moves by the former vice president suggest he is gearing up for a presidential run. The staunch, uncompromising conservative would be a strong contender for the Republican nomination–no matter who he runs against.
As we get closer to the 2024 Election, don’t be surprised to see Pence popping up on TV and on interviews. We are already seeing him become much more vocal than he was in 2021. He recently appeared on Fox News to discuss the critical, upcoming midterm elections. And he sent Democrats running with this stunning prediction.
Former Vice President Mike Pence predicted Wednesday on FNC’s “America Reports” that Republicans will win historic majorities in November’s midterm election.
Pence said, “Gasoline prices are high at the pump today not because of the war in Ukraine but because of Joe Biden’s war on energy. I think the reason in 20 days, you are going to see the American people take back the House, take back the Senate, take back statehouses around the country is because they know better. They know the pathway to American independence is unleash American energies, and we’ll have majorities to drive the policy and hope to force them back to common sense.”
He continued, “I think we are 20 days away from an historic victory for conservative values, for Republican candidates, and that’s going to be step one. We win back the Congress. We win statehouses across the country. Two years from now, win back America.” [Source: Breitbart]
Mike Pence predicted a “historic victory” for Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections. Not just in the House, but in the Senate and “statehouses around the country.” Pence believes voters will flock under the Republican banner, largely due to Joe Biden’s terrible track record so far.
The former vice president blasted Joe Biden, especially on the issue of energy. He revealed gas and electricity prices are so high, not because of the war in Ukraine–but Biden’s war on American energy. And Pence is right.
Gas and energy prices started going up last year, after Joe banned drilling for oil on federal land. Because American companies couldn’t drill on U.S. soil, we have been forced to buy oil from overseas nations. That has only resulted in higher demand, lower supply, and skyrocketing prices. It only got worse when Putin invaded Ukraine. And it will get much worse now, since OPEC+ cut back production.
Pence seems to believe this issue is critical in how the midterms will shape up. Inflation has been made worse, because high gas prices inflate the cost of shipping goods. But Biden is also responsible for a broken supply chain and wasteful government spending. Both of these are huge contributors to inflation.
How will all this affect the elections? Pence is confident Republicans will win big. We’ll find out, in a few weeks.
