Since January of 2021, it appears former Vice President Mike Pence has shown his true colors. He claims to be a proud, conservative American. But he bowed to the whims of the radical left and allowed a corrupt Democrat to become president.
Ever since he appears to be doing everything in his power to stop Americans from making their voices heard. He’s turned on his former boss, Donald Trump. He tried to run against him this election cycle and dropped out almost immediately.
Now, he’s sinking $20 million into a new initiative to derail the Trump train. And he’s targeting the party, trying to destroy the MAGA movement from the inside out.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that Mike Pence’s Advancing American Freedom group is in the process of launching a $20 million effort to defeat “unprincipled populism” in the conservative movement…”
“Our nation was founded on conservative principles that have stood the test of time,” Pence told RealClearPolitics. “The Constitution and this great American experiment must not be swayed by movements or personalities, but must hold fast to the time-honored principles that have made America strong and prosperous and free.”
Without naming names, the former vice president decried the fact that “many in the conservative movement have walked away from these principles, chasing the siren song of populism unmoored to conservative principles.” [Source: The Post Millennial]
Uh-huh, we know what you mean, Pence. He is spending millions to defeat “populism.” Which is code for Trump and the Make America Great Again movement. Pence was pretty clear on that when he slammed “movements or personalities.”
Gee, I wonder what he was talking about?
Sounds like Pence is sucking on some seriously sour grapes at this point. Trump is surging in the primaries because he is promising conservatives that he’ll protect values that are universal within the GOP.
How are securing the border, lowering taxes, and fighting crime not the “principles” of the Republican Party?
In reality, the only thing neocons like Pence are upset about is Trump’s promise to end foreign wars. Both Republicans and Democrats have, for years, thrown away America’s wealth by fighting wars overseas. They have burned through billions—neglecting our roads, bridges, airports, and businesses—because they were giving all our money away to the military-industrial complex. Not to mention bankrolling the armies of European nations.
Pence doesn’t think Trump is supporting “unprincipled populism.” He, like all the RINOs and warmongerers in DC, fears that Trump will win and give the power back to the people.
