New York Democrat Stuns Party–Exposes Their Dirty, Dark Secret

Blue cities are in rapid decline. There is no escaping it. Because of their radical policies and failed leadership, honest Americans are suffering from rampant crime, homelessness, and rising costs of living. Is it any surprise that so many people are fleeing these cities to red states?

But there are signs things are changing. In New York State, every county shifted right in the last election. It seems locals are getting sick and tired of the Democrats’ lack of results. This could result in major upsets in 2024. And one local councilman is not waiting for a breakthrough.

A New York City councilman is switching parties from Democrat to Republican.

Ari Kagan — a city councilman from Brooklyn who represents the 47th district — announced Monday that he is switching parties. Kagan also announced his intention to challenge Democrat Justin Brannan in next year’s general election in the newly-redrawn  district. Kagan said crime was one of the main reasons he decided to leave the Democrats.

“Over the last several years in my personal humble opinion, [the] Democratic Party in New York became moving to the left at such a speed that they could not even keep up,” Kagan said at a press conference on Monday, via amNY. “And on issue after issue every year, every month, I started to feel that it’s not me leaving the Democratic Party, but [the] Democratic Party very quickly started to leave me. Especially on [the] most important issue of the day, public safety.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Ari Kagan, a New York Democrat, announced he’s ditching the party to join Republicans. Among the many reasons he’s leaving the Democrats, he cited their unwillingness to address New York’s crime epidemic.

Even though the current Democrat mayor was a former cop, crime is still out of control. That’s because the mayor and the governor (and the rest of NY Democrats) are ignoring it. And they make it much worse when they defund the police and reward criminals.

Kagan said his constituents keep asking him, door to door, when he was going to change parties. That’s huge. It means many New Yorkers are done with supporting Democrats. They are eager to elect leaders who will actually keep them safe.

That could mean New York districts and counties could be flipped in 2024. New Yorkers might elect many more Republicans than we’ve seen in years.

Even AOC was terrified when the 2022 midterm data came back. The state is moving toward the right–and it’s all the Democrats’ fault.

We might see a Virginia-style upset in the coming years.
